“Hello! My Name is Genesis R. I attended V.H Lassen from 3rd-7th grade and Cloves C. Campbell my 8th-grade year! In Middle school, I was involved in a few clubs and wanted to start participating outside of my school. The Be a Leader Foundation created the perfect opportunity for me to start engaging with my community! I was able to work with other ambitious like-minded students. Be a Leader has helped me advocate for myself and others, be the change in my community, learn more about myself, build confidence and work towards my goals as a First-generation student! I am now almost a junior at South Mountain High school, I truly wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the Be a Leader program, joining Be a leader in 7th grade has been one of the best decisions I have ever made!”
